I do not post a lot of treat recipes because I am a serious sugar addict and try to avoid sugar as much as possible…when I eat sugary treats, even if they’re Paleo, I feel like Will Ferrell in Old School when he is talked into a funnel of beer…”Once it hits your lips, it tastes so good!” I can’t just have one piece of chocolate. I eat bars of chocolate. Hey, when I commit, I commit! Anyway, that’s not healthy. Sugar.Is.Bad. ugh.
This recipe is two servings of fruit and no added sugar. Lately, when I’m really craving ice cream or something sweet this has been my go-to fix. It’s quick, it’s easy, and I won’t go streaking in the quad afterwards. I hope you like it too!
1 small banana
2-3 large organic strawberries (frozen are totally fine, just let them defrost a bit before putting in the blender)
1 tsp melted ghee or grass-fed butter
1 tsp organic cocoa powder
1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. I use a stick blender, because they are awesome.
2. Pour into a freezer safe dish and place in the freezer for 1 hour or until it is just frozen and not too hard.
3. Take it out and eat. Done.
